Thick Aluminum Foil

Aluminum foil can be divided into heavy gauge foil, medium gauge foil and light gauge foil according to the thickness.

Under normal circumstances, the thickness of aluminum foil can be up to 0.2mm.

① Heavy gauge foil: 0.1-0.2mm thick foil.

② Medium gauge foil: thickness of 0.01mm and less than 0.1mm.

③ Light gauge foil: the foil with two zeros after the decimal point when its thickness is measured in mm. It is usually the foil with a thickness less than 0.01, that is, the foil with 0.001~0.009mm. In some countries, the aluminum foil with thickness less than or equal to 40ltm is called “light gauge foil” and with thickness more than 40btm is called “heavy gauge foil”.
